I Hear Your Voice (korean drama)

A thriller courtroom drama with fantasy and romantic comedy elements. It will depict the story of Jang Hye Sung (Lee Bo Young), a bold, sassy, thick-faced, comical, and materialistic public defender who becomes a lawyer after overcoming poverty and painful memories from her childhood, comes to realizations about society and justice after meeting Park Soo Ha (Lee Jong Suk), a 19-year-old boy who reads other people’s thoughts and Cha Kwan Woo (Yoon Sang Hyun), an innocent lawyer who lives a disciplined life. Jang Hye Sung is actually Soo Ha's first love after she gave a decisive testimony on his father's murder case 10 years ago and Soo Ha promised to protect her from the killer's threats. Meanwhile, Cha Kwan Woo is Jang Hye Sung's fellow lawyer who is a cheerful and idealistic former cop even though his character a bit slow, he is nice and pleasant with a firm idea of his principles and justice. Together they will team up to to find the justice in the courtroom and solve the toughest cases with less than 1% chance of winning.

After some gap due to reasons unknown :p I finally managed to do a marathon of this drama. I was cut off brutally halfway through the drama due to those unknown reasons, but finally managed to set my heart at ease.

This was a drama that I had soooo wanted to complete watching as its genres were some of my favourites. I was worried that it might not do well, but my worries were unfounded and I wasn't disappointed. I loved the ending, loved the show, loved the cast, loved it period. :) sigh it's gonna take some time to find a drama like this again for me. this is a definite recommend from me. Enjoy it!!!

Bachelor's Vegetable Store (korean drama)

The true story of a young man who turned a tiny vegetable store into a nationwide franchise and the obstacles he faces.

there have been mixed reviews of this show saying it didn't really stay true to the title but for me, although there was a lot of melodrama, it also had its good points. for me, a show is a success if it doesn't make me quit halfway and not watch again. we might have our moods as to when we want to watch a specific genre and it's all about our own interests and this show, overall, was good for me.

of course, no drama is perfect. they have their own flaws but if we just take it and enjoy it, then it becomes enjoyable and that was what happened for me with this drama. it was a success for me because despite the melodrama, it made me want to continue and see the happy times between our leads, happy times for our bachelors and basically happy times. who wouldn't want a happy ever after. it also made me wonder how it was going to wrap up the story and because of this, the drama was a success. it made me continue watching till the end and although the ending could have been better, i was still satisfied nonetheless.

i'll only recommend this if you can endure melodramas, sadness and all and go for the happy times. it took quite a while in coming, that's my only complaint. other than that, nothin so enjoy!!!

Scent of a Woman (korean drama)

A woman, Lee Yeon Jae, is given the grim prognosis that she only has a short time left to live. She decides to quit her job at a travel agency and live her life to the fullest.
Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful! Simply wonderful! A drama not just about death but also about living. it's amazing how talented people are, to be able to act so realistically that we, the ones who are watching, feel the emotions too.
and did this show bring out some amazing emotions. it wasn't what i expected it to be at all, had dreaded the sadness it would bring and didn't want to watch it initially. but then, the two main leads pulled me in, tempting me.
what i really also enjoyed, besides the acting, was how the story flowed naturally. and how the minor characters brought out feelings in us. but the best of all, had to be the ending. don't be fooled. the story might seem that way and in a way, it's true that it is going to be sad, but they somehow turn it around to give such a positive feeling and it was surprisingly sweet and angst free ending. simply loved it. this show made me shed tears and laugh when i was alone. lee dong wook, kim sun ah, fighting!!! i watched this on epdrama but you can also find it on gooddrama as well. highly recommended!!! enjoy!

God's Quiz Seasons 1-3 (korean drama)

Han Jin Woo, Korea's top medical examiner, leads a team of experts in conducting a medical crime investigation after strange events and mysterious deaths occur in a hospital. He first clashes with but is later aided by Kang Kyung Hee, an attractive female detective who possesses excellent skill in martial arts and a strong sense of justice.
One thing amazing about this drama is the rare diseases they find. And they're real too. Not fake. It's amazing how the people are affected. Of course, this drama might not be for just anyone. It's a medical mystery. hehe
The terms used are also scientific so one might be a little confused although they do explain. But despite all these, what i really enjoyed was the characters here and how well they played their roles especially our lead hero, han jin woo. as the season progresses, he gets even better. i think i'd rewatch this even if it's just for him alone, oh and also detective kang kyung hee. loved her too hehehe

oh and one other thing. the lead actor here, ryu deok hwan, is also acting on 'Faith'. If you don't recognise him, (i didn't at first too until i read somewhere) he's the actor who plays king Gongmin. :D

Bridal Mask/Gaksital (korean drama)

Gaksital is a famous manhwa set in the 1930s, during the Japanese occupation. The hero, Lee Kang-to, is known as 'Gaksital' because he wears a mask to hide his face — one of those traditional play masks, specifically the rosy-cheeked one reserved for the female role, aka the bride. He's an unassuming young man in real life, but when he dons his superhero mask, he fights injustice and rights wrongs during one of the darkest periods of Korea's history.
i wasn't sure whether to watch this or not as it was a confirmed given that there was going to be much angst. and it didn't disappoint me in that area. there was enough angst to last me a lifetime. i'm going to be watching more light hearted dramas for a while now.
the story was so realistic, the osts are all so great, acting was fabulous. there were some really heart wrenching moments, sighh i'm writing this jus after i finished watching this, so i don't think i'm going to be able to say much.
only thing i can say is, this is a definite yes from me, i highly recommend it, it has everything from action to romance to comedy. you can just google every episode and find them online. i watched most of the episodes on epdrama and youtube. here are two of my favourite osts. enjoy!!!

Tree with Deep Roots (korean drama)

Based on Lee Jeong-myeong's novel “Deep-rooted Tree”. Work that highlights the serial killings during the 7 days before the announcement of the Korean script.
A series of murder occurred during the reign of King Sejong. As Kang Chae Yoon who is investigating these cases gets closer to the root of the truth, he finds himself embroiled in a massive conspiracy behind the serial killings which involves a group of genius who are willing to risked their lives towards their cause/goals and secret powers who will interfere with the course of his investigations.
My heart is bleeding after watching this. The aftereffect is really bad this time. sighhh In short, this series was awesome. It was intense so much and I was always anticipating the next scene. It was so sad as well, the king was especially awesome. In fact, all the cast were awesome. Young chae yoon really left an impression on me. He portrayed his role fabulously. I'm not going to babble much after this, so I'm just going to recommend this series and hope that you'll enjoy it. Kurosagi (japanese drama)

Kurosaki is a young man whose family was destroyed by swindlers. Despite that, Kurosaki grows up to become a con artist known as Kurosagi. As Kurosagi, he swindles other con artists and returns the money to the original victim. He works with the master swindler Katsuragi Toshio even though Toshio had a hand in the destruction of Kurosaki’s family. Kurosaki's life begins to change when he meets Yoshikawa Tsurara, a young law student who disapproves of his disrespect of the law. Can she persuade Kurosaki to give up swindling and his quest for revenge?
hmmm...well recently you might have noticed i've been writing a lot on japanese drama. well actually the latest were all written on the same day cos right now, i'm in the mood. and i had completed those dramas recently too. well recently i've been in the mood for japanese dramas, drifting away from taiwanese dramas.
but anyway, there's also a manga for this with the same title. i've not read the manga as well as the art didn't really interest me but now, after watching the tv series, i might decide to give it a try after my mood for watching dramas go down.
this is the type of drama i enjoy, with some action and clever tricking hehehe there was good chemistry between the leads as well. frankly speaking i did not enjoy the movie as much. i had hoped fervently that it would be a sequel to the tv series but it was totally on its own although it's understandable since there is a time limit to movies so it's hard to cram everything in.
but the tv series was great. the story progressed gradually, although i wish there would be a next season although it seems unlikely. the ending felt incomplete for me but despite that, it is a good series. yamapi is cool here. you can find this on dramacrazy.

Royal Family (korean drama)

For 18 years Kim In Sook has been ignored and never regarded as sister-in-law by her husband’s brother and sisters. That is, to turn In Sook, a woman who has been treated as rubbish into a Queen. Ji Hoon leads a double life in JK clan, and makes arduous effort for the goal of saving In Sook. Accidentally he finds that his feelings toward In Sook is more than gratitude and pity. She has become the only woman who makes his heart beating faster at her sight. It’s just an untutored feeling. And he could abandon it just for the sake of In Sook. The story of Kim In Sook’s battle against all odds to rise to the top of JK Group with the help of the lawyer Han Ji Hoon, a man who has supported her since they were children.
Don't be mistaken by the title thinking it is a period drama with royalty or basically just royalty. it's not. it's actually more of a chaebol drama where it's about a reallly rich family who is very powerful. thus in that sense, they're known as royal family.
it's not often that i enjoy these types of dramas as they have a lot of backstabbing, misunderstandings, tragedy, betrayal, basically mainly negative stuff.
and yes this drama had its share of those as well. it made me wish that our hero knew what was going on and hope that he'd still support the heroine and all. i hoped so much for that part to be over that i at times, forwarded some scenes just to get the angst over with lol.
it was that nerve wrecking. hehe the main draw for me was of course our hero, han ji hoon(ji sung) who played a prosecutor fabulously. made me drool. you guys might recognise him from the drama swallow the sun.
despite all the angst and drama going on, i enjoyed this show. something about it kept me going and not stopping halfway through. although a part of me wished there was a more confirmed ending but with open endings, you can always dream your own happy ending hehe and that's what i'm doing. i just wished i could see it. anyway this drama is fully up on many sites of course, but i watched them mainly on epdrama and dramacrazy, enjoy

Psyren (manga)

Yoshina Ageha is a high school student who offers to help people with their problems for 10 000 yen. He'll take care of your stalkers, find your lost animals, whatever you want. One day, when he's heading home, a nearby pay phone rings, and he picks it up. The only thing he hears however is his own voice echoing. After finding a mysterious card with the word 'Psyren' printed on it, his life suddenly changes as he is drawn into a crazy new world.
another manga and this is quite a good one. it's finally completed and i'm a little sad that it ended so soon. well 145 chapters is quite a lot though, but i had hoped it would continue. the ending was nice, but i wasn't like wowed or anything by it. the plot can be quite complicating but as the series progresses, you'll slowly start to understand. the art is great and there's so much humor despite all the action in it. there's also some romance which is a big big plus for me hehehehehe it's one of my favourites in my top ten manga together with 'from far away'. love that latter a lot too hehe
well you can find this series in mangafox and mangareader and it's complete! so you won't have to keep waiting for updates and all. enjoy^_^

Fairy Cube (manga)

Ian is a special boy - he can see fairies. He seems to have a twin called Tokage who can only be seen by him and a pair of wings on his back. This pair of wings, his father scars to prevent him from flying away as his wife, Ian s mother left father and son. In the city he is in, a number of grisly murders occur. These murders are known as the Fairy Murders as the victims have backs slit open, with blood pouring out in the shape of a butterfly s wings. Ian s childhood friend returns and Tokage gets him into trouble, and slowly Ian begins to unravel the past and realise who he is, and solve the Fairy Murders.
at first, i thought that this was just a fluffy manga so i wasn't really bothered to read it. it also didn't help that it was only 18 chapters long which was a little short for me. but one day, to pass time, i decided to go ahead and read it and surprisingly enjoyed. i won't really say it's excellent but for a manga of that length, i think it's good.
the art is great. and the story could have been even better if it had been longer with more details. but still, it had almost everything that i enjoy-comedy, action, fantasy, romance. the ending was ok for me as i was hoping for a little more. overall, it's a good read to pass your time if you've got nothing to do online. you can find it on mangareader and it's complete. enjoy

Bad Guy(korean drama)

i finally finished watching this. it took me quite a while although it's just 17 episodes as the genre is not really my cup of tea. this is more tragic, psychological, sad, suspense, mystery with of course, a bit of romance. but still, i completed as i was really drawn to the characters especially our main leads.
gun wook wants revenge against haeshin group, a company to whom tae soong is the heir. jae in is a woman who wants to marry rich so that she can live comfortably...their lives become entangled.
what can i say? it was kind of a dark series but some parts really touched me and got to me. although i enjoyed this series, i'm more of a happy ever after person, so i definitely didn't like the tragedy and the ending. i hoped it could have been better but it broke my heart...so you guys can guess what's likely to happen huh hehe kk no spoilers more than this. all in all, this drama is a nice addition to those of you who are interested in suspense and mystery. that was great and kept me thinking though i had my suspicions. i watched this is dramacrazy although you can find it in mysoju as well. hope you enjoy this.

Bones season 5 (eng series)

Finally!!! After months of searching, i was able to find (with some tough luck) all the episodes of season 5 which is tough, since most of the videos are on megavideo on which i can't watch much. >< but i finally found some sites that do have them. they're vureel.com and smotri. both of them have bones 5 and if one doesn't have it, the other usually does. i hope this has made things easier for some of you who are like me.
well with season 4's cliffhanger, i was really looking forward to season 5 and now it has left me wanting for even more -_- there were some episodes that really touched me this season too. but i think the best for me so far has been season 4 finale hehehehehe well, maybe partly because it has brennan and booth together in that episode although it's just a dream. but another reason is that it was soo refreshing to see all our lab 'squints' and their friends in different roles than what we usually see them in.
well, enough of this, i think i've said lots in my other bones post too...i think?? anyway, hope you all enjoy the latest season, 5 and i hope this has made your search easier. i was a little too lazy to post links to the site. sorry about that. and if you're a fan of this great series like i am, then you might be interested in their dvd.

Akaku Saku Koe (manga)

This is a manga where the art is just average in my opinion. I mean i've seen more handsome guys and pretty gals in manga. but still, this one did manage to keep up my interest. don't really know why though. hmm... maybe cos it has genres that i like such as mystery, romance, supernatural etc etc
A high school boy with such a beautiful voice, so beautiful that he can make anyone do anything just by saying something, that is Karashima. Due to this dangerous ability, he distances himself from everything. That is until he finds himself involved in criminal investigations which he can help solve and a girl named Kokubu who seems to be in love with him.
It's a short manga with only 14 chapters including 2 extras. but the feelings are quite deep. it was quite refreshing to see the girl chasing after the guy rather than vice versa. and it talks about the girl's feelings which i feel is so real. it also helps that this has action too. it wasn't like one of my favourites like 'from far away' but it helped to pass my time. ... did tht sound a little too harsh?? ehehe well this is complete on onemanga and mangafox so enjoy guys

Cutie Boy (manhwa)

Another manhwa that i surprisingly finished reading quite fast. it was enjoyable while it lasted hehe
han ah used to be bullied in elementary school for have a wide and flat butt. she hated that boy ever since. now in high school, she's the legendary captain of il hwa girls' high school and looking for a pretty boyfriend. she meets the mellow and seemingly perfect yoo min, and there their story starts.
from the forums, it seems not many are as fond of this manhwa but for me, i don't know why, but i enjoyed it. mostly, there is comic relief here. the art is quite good too. our main leads are really dumb though, or to put it nicely, too naive and innocent at times, especially yoo min. but that is the fun of this manga. hehe i didn't think his dumbness didn't go overboard personally. his friends' reactions were a joy to watch too and it was really suspenseful at times too. near the end especially. i thought one thing, but it turned out the other.
overall, this manhwa has action definitely, romance and loads of humor. it's definitely an enjoyable read if you want to while away your time. it's on mangfox and complete so enjoy.

Bones (english series)

I know this is not asian drama and all, but i just had to rave about it while i'm watching it right now. ehehe well i guess most of you know this series. ok i'm so laughing my sides out as i'm watching one of the episodes
but roughly summarizing, dr temperance brennan, 'bones', is a forensic anthropologist working at the jeffersonian institute. she is also able to read clues left behind in the victim's bones. FBI special agent seely booth, well, he's your normal fbi agent. the two become partners and solve crimes in their unique way and it's mostly about them and the crew at jeffersonian.
well this is a vague summary i know but i'm not really in the mood to write more, considering it's late in the middle of the night. but i will rave about it some, and if you think you might enjoy the series, go ahead.
what i really loved about this was the chemistry between the two main leads. their characteristics are just like most characters that i read in novels that i really enjoy and so, you can understand why i'm so in love with our two main leads. plus, it helps that they're really pleasing to the eye.
another good thing is the character development of not only them, but the other supporting characters like the jeffersonian crew, their personal lives and all. of course, there are 4 seasons for it to span out but it's worth it i feel. i heard that there's a 5th season on the way and that it'd be airing in US around september.
i love the humor that can be found in such a show as this; you see gore mostly, like dead, rotting bodies, skeletons, etc etc you know what i mean. but in spite of all this, humor is injected really cleverly and i find myself smiling and sometimes laughing out loud. it's not just the witty lines and all, it's the looks on their faces, it's priceless no matter whose face it is we're talking about.
that's the other best thing. the cast is wonderful. they acted out their roles really well. especially during season 4, which i've just finished watching. some characters really made my day. well i can go on and on but seems like i gotta stop here for now.
i hope that you guys will enjoy this as much as i did. i can't wait for all season 5 eps to be uploaded now since season 4 ending was such a cliffhanger. sheesh i was like, what??? how can it end like this? nooo and all. hehe well just click on the title to get to the page to see the episodes online.
oh and i also forgot to mention that they sound so cool and professional using all those scientific words hehe they say the words so easily, but i bet they didn't really know how to say them or what they really meant before they started the show i have practically watched all the episodes from all the seasons that the characters feel so close. hehehe

Beautiful Life

Another takuya kimura show^_^ couldn't help it, loved him on pride so wanted to watch another of his shows again, one which i thought i'd like anyway, and i did. i'm sure many know of this show too.
Kyoko, (tokiwa takako) wheelchair bound due to illness, and Shuji, (takuya kimura), a famous hair stylist, encounter each other in a traffic accident. Despite their confrontational meeting, Shuji is drawn to her courage and enthusiasm while Kyoko is attracted to his ability to look beyond her handicap and into her heart. However, there are obstacles as usual before they can be together.
What i really liked here was the problems both of them had, how they tried to solve it or what they did anyway. It was realistic i felt, and tragic though i really didn't want tragedy in my shows that i watched. Near the end, my throat was always constricted, tears threatened, though they didn't pour out. so you can more or less guess what happened.

A Love to Kill (k.drama)

A tragic love story as is hinted from the title too. Tragic and sad stories are not my cup of tea. My romantic heart wants a happy story >_< but i still watched this because i like the two main leads, rain and shin min ah.
Bok gu, a K-1 fighter, falls in love with Eun seok, a celebrity. It's forbidden love for him because his emotionally wounded brother became a vegetable partly because of her. His brother loved her too. Thus, Bok gu seeks revenge on her and while bringing her to destruction, he's falling deeper in love with her too.
It's actually a nice story, if only it had a happy twist in the end. But i guess, in a way, it's...happy? i don't know. If they had extended a little more or clarified how life went on, i would have been more satisfied i guess.
Rain did a good job i felt despite being a singer. I felt longing in him, pain and happiness from Bok gu. He looked cool too:)
Shin min ah is one of my favourite actresses. And i was really satisfied with her performance here too. Her character had a lot of crying to do. Near the later part of the drama, it was especially touching and made even me emotional.
The supporting characters did great especially kim sir,:P, da jeong and mi sook. the latter was the one who lightened up this tragic show. It was a welcome relief from the sadness there was. Our other two supporters were really realistic. Both of them were really selfish but in the end, they learned their lesson. It was hard to hate them, especially as their feelings were an emotion almost everyone experiences. Of course, there were times where they were really irritating. Not the people mind you, but their characters hehe:D
I definitely don't want to watch sad shows but once in a while, i guess it's ok. ^_^

Mars (taiwanese drama)

Well, I'm sure that most of you know about this one. There's a manga on it too though I haven't finished the manga as I've read once before long ago but forgot. I'm trying to complete it but many other new and updated manga are keeping me busy for a while hehehe And also, I'm a little too lazy to write online so just updating here when I feel like it.

A playboy and an introvert girl who's too quiet may seem an unlikely pair but like they say, opposites attract. It was my first time watching this drama though I already knew the story and I have to admit it was worth watching it. It went even deeper than I thought. Once together, the protagonists have their fair share of obstacles to overcome that got me hooked.

What I really liked was that this series not only have romance but action in it. And the story is not that simple as well. Both the main leads have scars which are hard to heal. And I found it really touching that both of them healed each other's wounds. It helped that I like both the main leads as well.

Barbie did a great job in playing a quiet role. It was different from the roles that she's used to playing; the outgoing type. Vic also did marvelous. Although he did look a little bigger than in Sweet Relationship(a series that he acted in). I'll definitely be seeing this show later in the future too when I'm free and have nothing to do. I'll just skip some parts that I find boring and see the rest.
