Good Doctor (korean drama)

A medical drama about a man with autistic disorder, who has mentality of 10-year-old, overcomes bias and discrimination by the society and becomes a pediatrician by utilizing his exceptional abilities that the illness brings.

A good medical drama that kept me hooked. It was a little different from what I enjoy. This contains more life experiences and reality but this still got me enjoying the series and what made it even better was the wonderful casting and acting by all the actors. Everyone managed to carve themselves a nice little spot in my heart. sigh Joo won made his character so real with his fabulous acting; it really felt as if he was autistic. It must have been tough maintaining that posture and the little details.

The story was written really nicely and flowed well although it might have felt a little rushed towards the end but nothing so much that made you feel like it was off. The ending was done well and I was satisfied by it. All in all, if you're in the mood to watch something medical and life related, I'd recommend this. Considering its genre, you'd be surprised at how much it makes you laugh too. Enjoy!!!

Garo: Yami o Terasu Mono (japanese, tokusatsu)

Yami o Terasu Mono takes place at some undetermined point in the future in Vol City (ボルシティ, Boru Shiti^?), a metropolis build around a volcano and infested by evil demons known as Horrors. Ryuga Dougai, a Makai Knight who has inherited the title of Garo the Golden Knight, is tasked to hunt them down. However, the Garo Armor had long lost its golden radiance and it's not as powerful as it used to be. Joining forces with fellow Makai Knights Aguri and Takeru, along Makai Priests Burai and Rian, Ryuga confronts the dark side of the city that is plagued by a rare breed of Horrors called Madō Horrors (魔導ホラー, Madō Horā^?), and the mystery behind why a portion of the Garo Armor's golden light is restored every time he destroys one of them.

After watching the first two seasons of Garo, truthfully I missed them while watching this. There's not much link to the first 2 seasons, but hopefully, the new season will link them. But despite it all, the 3rd season was fresh and different although I felt the action was better for the previous 2, although it's understandable since the garo in season 3 is young and inexperienced.

Loved all the cast, they did a wonderful job but have to admit, I had to forward a little at times as it got a little boring for me but all in all, a good season. But I still miss the cast for the first 2 seasonsss:(

Garo Makai Senki (japanese, tokusatsu)

Following on from GARO and Garo: Red Requiem Makai Senki follows the continuing adventures of Kouga Saezima as he is promoted to being the Makai Knight to the Senate and how he tries to avoid an untimely demise after being marked by the Seal of Destruction by the series antagonist. Unlike the previous series, several episodes focus solely on Rei.
Subplots to the series concern Kouga's slow-boiling romantic relationship with Kaoru who is trying to get her first picture book published while Kouga tries to keep his seal a secret from her, Rei/Zero having also been marked with the seal and a possible resurgence in his friendly rivalry with Kouga, and the identity of the series antagonist, a red-masked Makai Priest who "seals" Kouga and Rei as part of his effort to destroy all of the Makai Knights and make the Priests dominant again.
Also introduced is the Makai Senate, which heads the Makai order and therefore over-rules the Watchdogs shown in the previous series. The senate includes Grace, a high ranking Makai Priestess and gives out orders in place of the Watchdogs and Kouga's new partner Reo Fudō, a kind hearted Makai Priest and creator of the Gouryu previously seen in the film Red Requiem. Reo is also seen to be troubled by memories of a woman (known as Mio) from his past, whom Kaoru reminds him of.

Another amazing series, this one focuses more on the romance aspect of kouga and kaoru. This second series doesn't let down its prequel. it's still badass as ever, with amazing action and some romance now. It makes you feel one with the cast, makes you fond of them. Do note that there are movies in between so if you want to watch these, then wiki it up to watch it accordingly so you do not miss out on anything. Enjoy!!!

Garo (japanese, tokusatsu)

Garo focuses on the life of Kouga Saejima, who has assumed the title of Makai Knight to protect humanity against dark demonic manifestations called "Horrors". In his quest to purge them, he encounters a young girl named Kaoru whom he saves from a Horror, but learns that she is stained with its demonic blood. As a rule, those that have been stained by the blood of a Horror shall be cut down, or else they will die painfully in approximately 100 days. Kouga spares Kaoru and tries to find a way to purify her before her remaining time expires. Thus, the series focuses on Kouga's developing relationship with Kaoru and his stand in protecting humanity in accordance with the wishes of his father, the previous Garo. In the process, encountering another Makai Knight named Rei Suzumura who eventually becomes his ally, Kouga confronts his father's former disciple who is also the cause of a recent string of Horror attacks in preparation of a more sinister advent of the Horrors' originator, Messiah.

This isn't your typical power rangers series or kamen rider series. If you loved either but have outgrown them, then this is the mature version. I'm not really a fan of these types of series, but this show was so amazing that I watched all its seasons and movies. hehehe I will blog about its second and third season later.

Some might not like the idea of weak girls or damsels in distress but I don't know. In here, I wasn't averse to the idea. It actually went well with the story and it helped that the actress's character was actually likeable. The best was the action. It was amazing, superb, fabulous, no words can describe it. and the effects were really well done too. Really looked so real. But as I mentioned earlier, it is for mature audiences as there is some nudity and violence. But overall, a series I would recommend. Here's my favourite tune in Garo. Enjoy!!!

 

I Hear Your Voice (korean drama)

A thriller courtroom drama with fantasy and romantic comedy elements. It will depict the story of Jang Hye Sung (Lee Bo Young), a bold, sassy, thick-faced, comical, and materialistic public defender who becomes a lawyer after overcoming poverty and painful memories from her childhood, comes to realizations about society and justice after meeting Park Soo Ha (Lee Jong Suk), a 19-year-old boy who reads other people’s thoughts and Cha Kwan Woo (Yoon Sang Hyun), an innocent lawyer who lives a disciplined life. Jang Hye Sung is actually Soo Ha's first love after she gave a decisive testimony on his father's murder case 10 years ago and Soo Ha promised to protect her from the killer's threats. Meanwhile, Cha Kwan Woo is Jang Hye Sung's fellow lawyer who is a cheerful and idealistic former cop even though his character a bit slow, he is nice and pleasant with a firm idea of his principles and justice. Together they will team up to to find the justice in the courtroom and solve the toughest cases with less than 1% chance of winning.

After some gap due to reasons unknown :p I finally managed to do a marathon of this drama. I was cut off brutally halfway through the drama due to those unknown reasons, but finally managed to set my heart at ease.

This was a drama that I had soooo wanted to complete watching as its genres were some of my favourites. I was worried that it might not do well, but my worries were unfounded and I wasn't disappointed. I loved the ending, loved the show, loved the cast, loved it period. :) sigh it's gonna take some time to find a drama like this again for me. this is a definite recommend from me. Enjoy it!!!

Scent of a Woman (korean drama)

A woman, Lee Yeon Jae, is given the grim prognosis that she only has a short time left to live. She decides to quit her job at a travel agency and live her life to the fullest.
Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful! Simply wonderful! A drama not just about death but also about living. it's amazing how talented people are, to be able to act so realistically that we, the ones who are watching, feel the emotions too.
and did this show bring out some amazing emotions. it wasn't what i expected it to be at all, had dreaded the sadness it would bring and didn't want to watch it initially. but then, the two main leads pulled me in, tempting me.
what i really also enjoyed, besides the acting, was how the story flowed naturally. and how the minor characters brought out feelings in us. but the best of all, had to be the ending. don't be fooled. the story might seem that way and in a way, it's true that it is going to be sad, but they somehow turn it around to give such a positive feeling and it was surprisingly sweet and angst free ending. simply loved it. this show made me shed tears and laugh when i was alone. lee dong wook, kim sun ah, fighting!!! i watched this on epdrama but you can also find it on gooddrama as well. highly recommended!!! enjoy!

Rich Man Poor Woman (japanese drama)

Oguri Shun plays Hyuga Toru, an affluent man whose personality is on the contrary, speckled with flaws. A CEO of an IT firm who is published on Forbes as a billionaire, Toru attained his fortune through chance and pure luck. A woman who meets Toru and eventually becomes attracted to him is Sawaki Chihiro, played by Ishihara Satomi. Chihiro is a hardworking college student at Tokyo University who has prepared for her future as much as she possibly could through studies and obtaining licenses. Despite her efforts, she has yet to land a job. Upon meeting Toru, she begins to unravel a genuine pureness inside him and solitude resulting from such pureness, which eventually draws her closer to him. The two repeatedly conflict each other, but little by little learn about one another to grow and develop together.
Despite the worldwide recession and financial difficulties, there are people like Mark Zuckerberg who began work from merely an apartment room or a garage that end up growing to be companies generating over ten billion dollars revenues after merely 10 years or so, embracing their new found wealth by living the dream life. Whether it's a game or application software, Ecommerce, or other IT related firm, there are more than a few who rose in fame to such status in recent years. On the other hand, Japan's unemployment rate for new grads dropped to a record low and those who want to work are unable to, or their wishes to work at their company of choice is not granted.
A Cinderella story of the real world. Will the two be able to compromise their values and lifestyles to become a happy couple?
this is a fun to watch romantic comedy, it wasn't enough to fill the void left by gaksital but it definitely was enough to keep me occupied. it's also been long since i last watched a japanese drama so was in the mood for one and found a good one. oguri shun was especially good as that talented programmer, always on the computer.
one thing that i also liked was that it didn't just focus on comedy but also had moral values in it. you'll know and understand once you watch it and find out that hyuga toru can actually surprise you.

The Princess Man (korean drama)

A tragic love story between the daughter of Prince Suyang and grandson of Kim Jong Seo. The son of Kim Jongseo, Seungyoo, is a handsome and wise man who carries a noble quality. Princess Seryeong, a daughter of King Sejo, aka prince Sooyang, is a cheerful, lively lady with a strong curiosity and bold personality. They fall in love instantly but later they find out that their parents are sworn enemies.
Recently, I've been into historical period dramas, although of course more for the personal stories it has rather than the political happenings. ehhehe I only started watching this recently because i dislike having tragedies usually, i don't like crying. but despite that, i decided to watch it because it seemed to have a good romance story and a lot of action. and i'm glad that i decided to go for it cos i enjoyed it tremendously.
All the characters really got to me, the villainous and yet fatherly, suyang, the pitiful shin myeong, the cheerful jong, the proud princess gyung hye, the mischievous and later vengeful seung yu, the strong and kind se ryung, their maids, friends and everyone. the chemistry was amazing between the leads and even the supporting casts.
i teared up some parts, i swooned at some parts, i cussed at some parts but in the end, the drama kept me wanting for more and i was fully satisfied with how it ended although of course, there were some who were not satisfied.
this is the first show of the male lead that i'm watching and although at first, he was ok for me, he really grew on me. it's not everyone who can show their feelings well but he did it so well just through their eyes.
but i'm the type who just enjoys a drama while watching and don't think of any other things or think too deeply. it's just a drama anyway. but oh how wonderful this one was. my hunger for historical romance periods hasn't waned yet so i'll be watching some more and there are many on my list to watch.
this is a definite recommend from me, you can find it complete on youtube, although there are some parts that are missing or doesn't work. then you can just google the episodes, there are many links out there, one is dramacrazy, i view on their wat link. enjoy!!!

City Hunter (korean drama)

‘City Hunter’ is an original script based on the world-famous novel by Japan’s Tsukasa Hojo. Since it became public that Korea would be the first remake of this story into a drama, ‘City Hunter’ has been receiving worldwide attention. ‘City Hunter’ has switched the setting from Tokyo 1980 to Seoul 2011, and according to the original story structure, the protagonist becomes a city hunter and his character develops while resolving gratifying cases.
this is one of the perfect food for me. it has the right amount of ingredients-action, romance, sadness and some slight touches on humor. sigh i definitely enjoyed watching this and i think, this role suited lee min ho perfectly. but maybe i'm biased cos i like cool heroes who can fight and all. hehehe there were some really sad parts too, parts that made me blink my eyes more often than not. sigh as for the ending, i had hoped to see a little more, it kinda felt open. with the romance, with his dad among other things.
but overall, this is a good watch which i definitely recommend for action and romance fans. not only that, it also has humor, so much revenge and twists. it's all complete and online. i watched it on epdrama. enjoy!!!

Personal Taste/Preference (korean drama)Finished!

well after putting in long hours, the show is finally complete and there's a little sadness in me that the show is over. this did not bore me as most korean dramas do, as most korean dramas tend to have too much...drama i guess and that's a little too much for my heart hehehe it's been a long time since i've felt this way about a show; where i would want to watch it immediately after i open up my internet. and i was not disappointed for sure. jin ho(male lead) was so sweet, sweeter than chocolate. and he's so in love with kae in(female lead). and i especially love it when the guy is crazy about the girl. hehehe he did everything for her sighhh ^_^
there were some really funny moments, especially with some bloopers in some episodes. i just wish they had bloopers at the end of every episode. oh well. at the same time, there were serious and aww moments too and near the end, i even had a little tear jerker moment personally for a while. my heart ached basically. the emotions the cast were able to dredge up in me, man they did a fantastic job.
i watched this on youtube, so i read some of the comments too and really, there were so many nasty comments at some characters; not the real ones of course, just the roles they were doing. it just shows how well they were able to portray them. i don't think you'll be disappointed with this show and also, the eye candy also helps:P both for the males and females hehe well hope you enjoy the show like i did.

Hi My Sweetheart (taiwanese drama)

i thought i had written about this series but when i came in to check if there were any posts to be edited, it seemed that i hadn't done any on this one. it's been quite long since i last watched this series.
xue hai was an innocent when he first arrived in hangzhou. he fell in love when his schoolmate bao zhu saved him from bullying. but due to a misunderstanding, they lost contact with each other. thinking that she dumped him, he transformed himself into a hunk and became a playboy who didn't believe in love anymore.
well, i remember being really amused by this show. also, at the same time, i felt irritated because of the many misunderstandings between our leads sigh and how long it took for them to get back together again. but i did complete the show. it's really funny and definitely will make you go aww at many parts. i also felt really sad for the guy who had a thing for baozhu for so long. well it was entertaining for me, hope it is for you too.

Chinese Paladin 3 (mainland drama)

Although chinese paladin was actually made earlier, the story for chinese paladin 3 is the prequel. the story happened years (don't know how many though) before chinese paladin, it's said.

jing tian, a mischievous pawnshop assistant crosses path with the spoiled and sassy tang xue jian. xu chang jing, the eldest disciple of mt shu sect, aids them when they encounter danger. meanwhile, chonglou, the demon lord, breaks into mt shu's suo yao pagoda to retrieve a magical sword and passes it to jing tian, saying it belonged to the latter in his past life, and forces him to battle. the 5 elders of mt shu call upon jing tian and chang jing to attain 5 mystical pearls and to seal up suo yao pagoda and to destroy a powerful evil force so as to save the world from destruction. together with xue jian, they set off to accomplish their mission. on the way, they overcome various obstacles and must solve mysteries pertainin to their past.

well, if you're someone who prefers realistic shows, then this is not for you!! this show is full of fantasy, supernatural stuff with adventure, comedy, history, romance. basically almost all the genres except for reality i guess:P

personally, i think the 2 chinese paladins both have their own uniqueness. both are enjoyable in their own way. the only thing i don't like is that it's tragic. sad shows are so not for me, but still, i braved my fears and continued watching. what i really liked about chinese paladin 3 was the way the story flowed. it wasn't as confusing as some i have actually watched. not only that, the love stories that were in it were so touching. they really made me reflect on the word love. for a while anyway:P the cast was brilliant in my opinion. everyone was up to par and definitely helped the show too since i'm not one who usually watches shows like these too, unless of course, there are great, eye candy actors/actresses. in this case it was everyone, but especially hu ge who played jing tian and yang mi who played xue jian. loved them. also loved wallace huo who played chang jing.
oh well, enough ramblings, those who have a vivid open imaginatio, and don't mind all those what some call 'fake stuff' then you might want to catch this show. it makes you laugh that's for sure. if you're a reality buff, then you can give this a miss, as there's nothing realistic about this, unless you want to count the moral you can get from this show. you can find this on mysoju but i watched it on youtube. it was great. i think some links were missing on mysoju, that's why. well, enjoy!!!

Ohitorisama (japanese drama)

This is a love story, more or less, of two people with age gap of 10 years between them. of course, what's interesting is that our hero is younger than our heroine and they're teachers, which i seem to understand is like forbidden. what the title means is, (also from my understanding) a perfect person, one who can do anything. or to quote directly the synopsis written, it means 'one person'. this synopsis is from mysoju itself, since i'm too lazy to write more now.
33-year-old Akiyama Satomi is a history teacher at the prestigious all-girls high school she once attended. She has earned the nickname "ohitorisama" (meaning "one person") for her perfectionism and capability to handle any work by herself. At the same time, the name also refers to her lack of romance. One day, a young man named Shinichi arrives at the school as a temporary instructor. He's ten years younger than Satomi, has only worked part-time jobs, and has neither money nor status. Although the other female teachers and students find him cute, he is completely not Satomi's type... or is he? Will love blossom between this unlikely pair?
well, seems interesting doesn't it? initially, i passed it a number of times as i didn't think i'd enjoy it much. i'm not into much drama, and sad stuff happening even though it's reality. i like dreams and happy stuff ehehe which is rarely found in reality of course. but once i started watching, i really enjoyed it. our heroine really made me root for her and there was a charm about her. as i kept watching her, she seemed to become even prettier if you know what i mean. our hero initially made me think that he was a weak boy and uninterested in life and all. but his character began to grow during the series and that was what's really good about it. he became better. their respective roles really suited them i felt. they portrayed themselves really well it was so believable that i kept getting worried about how it would turn out once everyone knew about them and all. of course, there were some really funny moments that made me chuckle too. overall i enjoyed it tremendously. hope you do too

Couple or Trouble (korean drama)

I've kept this series on hold because i thought it was a love triangle and wasn't that interested in watching it. But after i saw some episodes on tv, i decided to give it a go. This show is hilarious! totally! It made me laugh till my sides ached.
Jo Anna is our rude, high class, american bred heiress who is never satisfied with things. She is a controlling wife to her already cowardly husband, Billy. When her yatch needs repairs, she hires the local handyman, Jang Chul Soo, but after a heated spat over her dissatisfaction and non payment, she pushes him overboard and throws his tools along with him. However she herself is pitched overboard after a quarrel with Billy and falls victim to amnesia. And so our story begins.
Kudos to all the cast who did such wonderful acting. The main two leads were superb as were the supporting cast too. i didn't skip any episodes at all as the show kept me on hook, making me wonder when their feelings would be known, and how it was going to end and all. 'Anna' did really well, being the rich, stuck up and proud heiress. Jang Chul Soo's expressions, when he was irritated with anna, was priceless. that was one of the highlights of the show. Billy's acting was great too. His expressions, like Chul Soo's was amazing. i bet that they had lots of ngs too hehe( no good takes) :P anyway i watched this all on youtube although you can find it on mysoju too. it's complete so i hope you all enjoy it.

My Queen: Completed!!!

Finally this series is completed. How long I waited. The past few days, the last episode was completed only halfway since viikii had some problems so i was stuck watching halfway, wanting for the end, although it was my fault that i watched it knowing it wasn't complete yet.
I mentioned about this drama earlier on, so now, i'm just gonna be posting my personal views that's all.
The last few episodes took me by surprise. I was wondering how they were gonna end the show and i have to say that they really did a twist or at least it was for me. and it was so mushy towards the end. hehe sweet stuff, really touching. but i would have loved to see a maybe...preggy shan wu shuang??? grins jus my opinion:P
But well, finally it's complete. so you guys can see it on mysoju though i heard that there were some problems with the site as well. i don't know what but read from another blog. but anyway, it is fine for me so far. enjoy ppl.

Tell me you love me (k.drama)

I would have really loved this if there wasn't too much sad stuff happening.
2 childhood friends who have grown up together since they were little share everything, even their dream, so to make that come true, both of them enter the same film company. And then, there's Ina, a successful owner and president of the film company. She also has Hee Soo beside her though they're not madly in love and lead their own private lives. When she sees the 2 childhood friends, she begins to feel jealous as she did not really have that experience. And now, she's feeling at loss so she tells Hee Soo, "Take Young Chae away from Byung Soo".
This story was a little different in the sense that Byung Soo was different from the characters i had seen so far. of course, there were his type of characters in mangas and all but in a series, this is a first, unless i forgot that is. :P
He is naive, veering to the point of nearly dumb i would say, but that is what makes me endearing too. He is so devoted to Young Chae, now she is the one with spunk and one who controls the bulk of their relationship. and yet at the same time, she understands him so well. Their chemistry is so good, and i really enjoyed every part of their happy scenes that they had which unfortunately was not much.
The things that they had to endure made me so tired, not tired of watching mind you, but tired as i felt like i was in their shoes. Man, if in real life, i had to go through that, i wonder if i would have been able to cope hmm...
But you know, the world is so vast, i think there are actually people who've had similar experiences. Not the same of course, but maybe similar in some sense. Oh well, but overall, this is still a nice show. I really felt for Byung Soo but at times, i wished that he'd grow more spunk and be more selfish too ehehe anyway enjoy watching this, you'll love the relationship between Byung Soo and Young Chae for sure if you're like me. And Young Chae's father really made my sides stitch in the beginning part of the show. lol

Sweet Spy (k.drama)

Nooo, i want a sequel!!! i want the second part if there is one, if there isn't, then pleaseee producers make one. you can't end it like this >o<
Lee Sun Ae (nam sang mi) is a widowed police officer who finds herself entangled in something deep and messy after meeting rich, young Han Yoo Il (dennis oh). Kang Jun (lee joo hyun) is her late husband's junior who is now her superior at the police station. He reopens an old case that involves Sun Ae's past, leading him to an entanglement between current political/economical powers and secrets and one of them oddly enough is Yoo Il. Add to that, a love triangle starts to develop among the three. Who exactly is Yoo Il?
Frankly, i really loved this show. It was somewhat different from what i had seen so far and its genre is one of my fav. action romance!!! with thriller, what can be better. add to that, great hunks and beautiful babes:P
Well, there was suspense and the developing romance between yoo il and sun ae made me swoon. he's such a sweet and cute character. kang jun was funny haha, cool and macho type lol and sun ae, great job doing such a thick skinned yet spunky role lol
But like i said earlier, i definitely want a sequel cos there are many questions unanswered i feel. so many things unsolved and THIS IS A SPOILER!!! Yoo il dies, well he might be alive though. hehe

Tazza (k.drama)

I was really amazed by this series. So many twists and new developments in 21 episodes. I loved it of course.
Go Ni(Jang Hyuk) and Young Min(Kim Min Joon?) were childhood buddies who went through thick and thin together. One day, to get money for Young Min's grandmother's operation, Go Ni took his mother's years of hard earned money and gambled it away, and of course, he lost. And thus, his life is changed from then on. Due to some events, he ends up in jail and meets people who changes his life forever.
This is just a quick and lazy summary of mine. Don't think oh it's so boring and all hehe sorry i can't write in a better way. You'd be thinking what is tazza and all, that was my question as well since i don't understand korean. But from what i understand from the show, it most likely means a gambler who cheats, or somewhere along those lines i guess.
Not only action, but you can also find romance and humor here. The romance between Go Ni and Nan suk(Han Ye Sul) is so sweet. too sweet sigh Childhood friends, hidden crush, separation, reunion, and then separation again, sigh so much drama. I mean they don't exaggerate but my heart always skipped a beat when i saw them. When they see each other, they're just grinning like fools lol They don't even have to say much, just grin. But the chemistry is there.
The humor is great, i personally liked dong chul haha he made me laugh, but of course, the other stars were fabulous as well.
Young Min was a half villain here hehe half because he was made by circumstances but in the end, he still loved his two friends(go ni and nan suk). I really felt for his character, it was so sad. I really like Jang Hyuk, (go ni) i've seen other series of his too. well go ni really matured in the end, of course everyone in the show matured and changed since it had been years:P nan suk, wow she was amazing. she could be so sweet (to go ni) and then really vicious to her enemies. not often but at times, it can be seen. i've seen the actress before too, in some really bitchy roles she does a great job, bitchy and innocent. madam jung, another actress, was wonderful here too. great job by her.
But what i really liked was of course the romance found. as usual hehehe ^_^ it's so sweet that nan suk and go ni are so dedicated to each other, their love is so awkward, and so sweet and strong at times. sighhh oh my fluttering heart sheesh and the way they do the tricks wow, did they really do it? or is everything just a trick? i'm talking about how they swipe the cards or flip so fast and all. if they really did it, man they must have practised lots. oh well anyway i hope you all enjoy this. it's got everything i could look for in a drama.

Hong Gil Dong (k.drama)

Truthfully, i wasn't expecting much from this series but i still decided to watch cos the actors all seemed really good looking and pretty :P well partly that and partly because i do like korean period dramas or somethin like that anyway. but yea the former is the main reason. ^_^
Hong gil dong is an illegitimate child of a minister, heo yi nok is a naive and carefree girl who's just returned from china to korea, looking to make a fortune with her grandfather and lee chang hui is a prince who's been told that he's a rightful king of korea. Somehow, they all cross paths and there, their story starts.
Like i said earlier, i wasn't expecting much but i was pleasantly surprised. i actually enjoyed myself while watching this. There were times where i fast forwarded but i did not skip any episodes. The actors, supporting and main all, did a wonderful job in my opinion.
Yi nok's grandfather and gil dong's master especially stuck in my mind. They were one of the main source of comic relief besides yi nok and gil dong who themselves, were wonderful. It's partly because of the latter two that made it really enjoyable. The relationship between the two was so sweet.
At the same time, i loved the prince too. I bet it must have been tough to always keep scowling or be moody like the prince did. The very few times that he was able to smile, it was wonderful to see that. The prince was more of the silent type who doesn't socialise much and all, opposite from gil dong, who's lazy and hyper. So when the prince met yi nok who's so naive and in her own words, dumb, he started to slowly change and i felt myself rooting for the two to be together though i knew that it was not the case since gil dong was more of the main.
But if the story and all was a little different and there was no gil dong, i would have loved the two to be together. my romantic heart anyway. The strong, silent and wicked guy who changes because of the naive innocent girl. sighhh
oh well, enough of that, so the main reason why i enjoyed this show besides the points i mentioned above is that this show is hilarious. It made me smile and even laugh out loud at times. If someone had seen me, I'd have looked like a fool. kk enjoy guys^_^

Beautiful Life

Another takuya kimura show^_^ couldn't help it, loved him on pride so wanted to watch another of his shows again, one which i thought i'd like anyway, and i did. i'm sure many know of this show too.
Kyoko, (tokiwa takako) wheelchair bound due to illness, and Shuji, (takuya kimura), a famous hair stylist, encounter each other in a traffic accident. Despite their confrontational meeting, Shuji is drawn to her courage and enthusiasm while Kyoko is attracted to his ability to look beyond her handicap and into her heart. However, there are obstacles as usual before they can be together.
What i really liked here was the problems both of them had, how they tried to solve it or what they did anyway. It was realistic i felt, and tragic though i really didn't want tragedy in my shows that i watched. Near the end, my throat was always constricted, tears threatened, though they didn't pour out. so you can more or less guess what happened.
