Dae Mul (korean drama)

Seo Hye Rim is a former broadcast announcer who became the first female president of Korea. It's about her life and struggles to become the first female president and the lawyer who helps her.
this drama is different from what i usually tend to watch. it's more politically inclined and so realistic. the lead actors all portrayed their roles so well, esp seo hye rim. she was so innocent and determined. ha do ya was amazing. he was so patient, waiting for her, having a crush on her for the longest time ever. i really felt for him. i thought there must be very few of these men on earth now hehehe there were some sad moments, touching moments and surprisingly, funny moments as well in such a serious drama. kang tae san especially was wonderful i felt. he had such a strong role and showed it really well. if you're in the mood for some serious drama, but with some light heartedness at the same time, this one's for you. ha do ya especially made me root for him and i bet he'll do the same for you as well. i was definitely happy with the ending so you can know what that means hehehe you can find it on dramacrazy, epdrama, dramaload, mysoju though i mostly watched on the first as there were more options.

Secret Garden (korean drama)

The drama tells the story of Kim Joo Won (Hyun Bin), a seemingly perfect man who hides an arrogant and eccentric side, and Gil Ra Im (Ha Ji Won), a stuntwoman whose beauty and body are the object of envy amongst top actresses. One day they went deep into the mountains and entered a strange house, where a strange grandmother offered them chocolate to eat. The next day, they found themselves in the other's body
i've just finished watching this series after putting it off and my heart's a flutter. hehehe it's very romantic with so much comic humor and a touch of magic as well. but at the same time, there are some sad moments too. those really made my heart ache at times.
but for me, what i really enjoyed was the courting among the leads and there were some doses of reality infused as well. i definitely recommend this drama esp as all the characters were so wonderful here. oska was so cuteeee especially when he's shouting and pissed off lol joo won was arrogant, cool, cute and mushy all at the same time hehe ra im was very cool, pretty and so shy at times too she did the embarassed and arrogant parts so well hehehe yoon seul was beautiful and really played her part so well, bitchy one moment and then sad another moment. even ah young, secretary kim, han tae sun and the action school cast (basically that's almost all lol) were wonderful. and of course, who can forget director park. lol
even better to watch this series is because at the end, they also have a special with ngs and top ten best scenes included which is awesome. you can find this on dramacrazy, epdrama, dramaload, mysoju etc etc enjoy!!!:)

Three years later, disguised as a distinguished international accountant, he enters the NIS (National Intelligence Service) as an agent in its overseas branch. He’s a newbie who got a late start, but he’s highly motivated and takes off on his first field mission, chasing a Russian crime organization, when he runs into Su-ji. It’s shocking to see her now as a hotel cleaning lady, but his affections for her are as strong as ever… Lying is part of the job, secrecy is the name of the game in "My Girlfriend is an Agent".
this movie was so hilarious, it made me laugh in every episode of the 12 episodes it had. kang ji hwan was awesome here. most of the comic relief was all due to him and he did his role so well it suited him perfectly. kim ha neul as his girlfriend and a pro agent was so cool hehehe i definitely recommend watching this movie, even if it's just for the comic relief ehehe it's all complete, online with english subs and on youtube. enjoy it and laugh your heart out till your sides ache.

Patiala House (hindi movie)

At Patiala House lives the Kahlon family ruled by Bauji. They follow his diktats as he tries to hold onto his 'Indian values' in the land of the 'goras'. The younger generations at the Patiala House wants to assert themselves and follow their dreams but are held back by their respect and love for Bauji and the shining example of Bauji's eldest son, Parghat Singh Kahlon aka Gattu. Gattu gave up his dream at the altar of Bauji's biases.
His reward: For the last 17 years he has been working in a corner store.
Will Bauji loosen his hold and let the youngsters find their own dreams instead of following his?
Will Gattu get a second chance to live his life?
What's more important: family or dreams?
And why must we choose one or the other?
it seems there have been mixed reviews to this movie. for me personally, i enjoyed it. initially, i thought that maybe this was another cricket movie with some romance and all, but as i watched on, i was proven wrong. it's more of an inspirational movie, to follow your dreams when you have the opportunity. recently, most akshay kumar movies have been similar, with comedy and romance, etc but this one is more subtle.
it's sad at times, gattu's hesitance and his siblings' opinions are all understandable, it's what we have faced at one point or another in our lives.
to follow a dream, you need support. if you don't have that, it can be quite tough to hold on to the dreams. this movie made my eyes tear at some parts, seriously, and i'm not one known to cry easily. my heart was all choked up sheesh, luckily i was alone hehe
well, you may want to try if you're up for an inspirational movie to boost yourself up as well hehe i watched this on youtube and i watched the one with eng subs so it was easier to understand in case i couldn't hear some words. hope you enjoy

Coffee House (korean drama)

Lee Jin Soo is a talented novelist who shot to stardom at a young age after writing a series of bestsellers. He finds two potential love interests in Seo Eun Young, a publishing executive, and Kang Seung Yeon, the daughter of the Page One Coffee Shop who is studying for the civil service examination and later becomes Jin Soo's secretary.
After so long, i've come out of my lazy shell (just for a while) to write about this drama that got me hooked for a few days. there were so many twists and turns, and it was so complex with all the relationship problems. and i usually don't go for that, but i was attracted to this series because of the leads as well.
the cast was superb in my opinion, all did a wonderful job here, i was frustrated at times though, as i felt that maybe it was getting a little slow occassionally but other than that, it was great. and i was really satisfied with the ending, because of my bias i guess. heehe i like this particular actress so he ended up with her, although i'm not gonna let the cat out of the bag. it was sad at times too, and hilarious at others. this is more a comedy romance, i feel, but at the same time, it makes me think it's realistic too. jin soo was fabulous, his role so eccentric and kang ji hwan managed to pull it off. that role suited him perfectly hehe
for a while, around ep 12, i thought the series had ended and i thought it was like an open end and that made me really frustrated as i thought i had seen 18 eps so i confirmed and voila, it was 18 eps. so i sat down again to watch the rest of the eps hehehe
well i was quite engrossed and enjoyed it myself. it's all online and complete with english subs. i watched on dramacrazy, it has links there. hope you enjoy it.

Anego (jap drama)

Naoko Noda, who works in a trading company, is called 'anego' by her younger co-workers. What is anego? It means older sister, but in this case, it's given as a nickname to Naoko, because she is like a big sister to her co-workers, who depend on her to give them advice about everything. This drama, based on a popular novel, depicts realistically how Naoko lives her everyday life, including her love life, the problems she faces and her uneasiness about the future.
i really enjoyed this series as it is very realistic just as the synopsis describes. in some ways, i find myself fortunate that i don't have to face the problems that she faces. that's so stressful, and i believe that we find that in reality too, not just reel.
there were comic moments and serious moments too, even psychological at times. the quotes that she gives usually in the beginning of each episode is note worthy. it also helps that the cast is good looking especially with our main leads, shinohara ryoko(naoko) and akanishi jin(akihiko,or kusa something...soryyy><)
i definitely recommend this drama, it's a good watch, 10 episodes which is just nice too, with a special as well. the special has some recaps and yes it starts off where ep 10 left off so it's kind of like the conclusion to the series with an open ending which is kind of obvious probably. you can find all the episodes on daily motion. enjoy all.

Brigadoon:Marin to(&) Melan (anime)

Marin is a typical junior high school girl with a loving adoptive family. Her life takes a drastic change when a mysterious mirage is seen in the sky above the entire Earth. Killer androids called Monomakia descend to Earth from the formation in the sky, which is called Brigadoon (named after a town in the musical of the same name, that only appears on Earth at certain times) and begin to hunt down Marin. As she seeks to escape, she discovers a blue "ampoule" in a shrine; from the ampoule comes a protector, a sword-carrying, gun-slinging alien called Melan Blue. Together they must save the Earth and deal with family crises, school prejudice and the police, and come to an understanding of Marin's past and Melan's unexplained mission, as well as learn to trust each other.
well this anime is like maybe 10 years old now. it was made in around 2000 and i have to admit, i thoroughly enjoyed it. of course there are loopholes here and there but hey, it's an anime. surprisingly, not only does it have its funny moments, and believe me, there were tons, but it's also really touching and sad. very realistic in some areas. well the idea anyway. the ending was a little open ended i guess although there were hints that they were happy together although it wasn't shown, only said in text. i wish i could have seen it though but oh well. it has been quite some time since i last enjoyed an anime so much. too bad it's finished now, hope to watch more great animes soon. all the episodes are on youtube so enjoy!
